On February 6, 2024, Ambassador Hou Yue met with Professor Nils Christian Stenseth, foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and professor at the University of Oslo.

Ambassador Hou congratulated Professor Stenseth on his election as a foreign academician of CAS and thanked him for his significant contributions in promoting exchange and cooperation on areas such as ecological environment between China and Norway. Professor Stenseth briefed the latest research progress in relevant fields between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in the field of science and technology. They also exchanged views on taking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to further strengthen coordination between China and Norway and better address global challenges.
