
On March 23, 2010, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying at request met with a visiting delegation headed by Raymond Johansen, general secretary of Norwegian Labor Party, in the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Johansen appreciated the enormous achievements made by China since reform and opening up and made positive comments on Norway-China relations. Norway places high hopes on expanding cooperation with China and holds that it is necessary for China to introduce more about its national conditions to the Western public to promote their better understanding of China.
Echoing Johansen's comments on bilateral ties, Fu introduced China's economic and social development as well as the building of the legal system. She also explained from the perspectives of historical traditions, cultural history and modern development that China would adhere to the road of peaceful development.
Johansen and his delegation are visiting China at the invitation of the International Department of the Central Committee of CPC.
