Over 200 overseas Chinese scholars and students, working or studying in Norwegian universities and research institutions, gathered together and celebrated the Chinese Spring Festival on February 6, 2010 in the Oslo University. 

The celebration was organizaed by the Chinese Professionals in Norway (CPN). 

Chinese ambassador Tang Guoqiang and Embassy staff celebrated the Chinese New Year together with the CPN members and their families. 

In his speech, Ambassador Tang extended his festival greetings to all the oversea Chinese students and scholars, and introduced the political and economic situations in China and recent developments in Sino-Norwegian relations. Ambassador Tang wished all the Chinese scholars and students success in the New Year and hoped that they would continue to make contributions to the friendly relations and mutually-beneficial cooperation between China and Norway. 

An excellent performance, including chorus, rhythmic gymnastics and talk show, was put forward by students and scholars.
