H.E. Mr. Tang Guoqaing, the Chinese Ambassador to Norway visited the Confucius Institute in Bergen and met with the Director of the Institute, the Chinese language and the martial arts teachers. During the meeting, Mr. Rune Ingebrigtsen, Director of the Confucius Institute, introduced the achievements made since the founding of the Institute two years ago and the plans for further development and deeper cooperation in the future. Ambassador Tang fully affirmed the achievements made by the Institute and spoke highly of the positive role played by the Institute in promoting the exchanges on education, culture and other fields between China and Norway. Ambassador Tang also encouraged the Chinese teachers to work hard and closely with their Norwegian colleagues to run the Institute well, and to contribute to the development of friendly relations between China and Norway.
